360 video booth for Brisbane Pop Up 2024
A bold, social-first 360 video experience built for Brisbane’s biggest pop-up
Client: Brisbane Economic Development Agency Event: Brisbane Pop Up 2024 Venue: The Pullman Hotel Theme: Bold purple — “Brisbane favours the bold” Experience: 360 video booth with custom purple foil enclosure and branded videos Duration: Around 3 hours
The Brisbane Economic Development Agency came to us wanting a moment that matched the energy of Brisbane Pop Up 2024 — something fun, social-media-worthy and impossible to ignore.
The theme was bold. “Brisbane favours the bold,” to be exact, wrapped in a bright purple colour scheme and held at The Pullman Hotel. The brief was clear: give guests branded video content they’d actually want to share, and make sure every detail matched the look of the campaign.
When they asked how we’d deliver something engaging enough to get people talking, our 360 video booth was the obvious answer.
We designed a fully custom 360 video booth activation built around the bold purple theme.
The centrepiece was a 2.4-metre tall, 3-metre circumference purple foil enclosure surrounding the 360 platform. It was impossible to miss in a busy room — exactly the kind of visual anchor a pop-up needs to pull people in off the floor.
Once on the platform, guests helped themselves to purple-themed props and custom signs to add some extra flair before stepping in front of the camera. We custom-branded the 360 platform itself, and finished every video with animated purple confetti and a branded outro — featuring the Brisbane Pop Up background, logo and the guest’s choice of music. Each clip landed as a proper piece of branded content, not a raw export.
The full activation included:

In around three hours, the 360 video booth produced 54 fully branded videos — a new video every 3.5 minutes across the activation window.
Every guest walked away with their video delivered straight to their phone via email, AirDrop or QR code, ready to share before they’d even left. We watched plenty of guests post straight to their Instagram stories on the spot.
For a brand activation, that’s the whole point: every video carried the Brisbane Pop Up branding out into guests’ feeds and networks, turning a few hours on the floor into reach that kept going long after the event wrapped.
A 360 video booth was the right experience for Brisbane Pop Up 2024 for three reasons.
It stopped people in a busy room. A pop-up lives or dies on foot traffic. A 2.4-metre purple foil enclosure acted as a visual magnet, pulling guests away from the crowd and into the experience — far more than a tabletop photo booth ever could.
It created content guests actually shared. Slow-motion 360 video looks like it belongs on Instagram. With branding sitting in every clip, each share carried Brisbane Pop Up into a new feed — exactly the organic reach a brand activation is built to deliver.
It matched the theme down to the detail. Bold purple everywhere — the enclosure, the props, the confetti, the outro. The content reinforced the campaign rather than sitting beside it, so every video felt like part of the event, not an add-on.
If you’re working on a brand activation, pop-up or launch in Brisbane and want to give guests content they’ll actually share, we’d love to hear about it. We design custom photo and video booth experiences from the ground up — built around your theme, your audience and the kind of content you want to walk away with.
