Engaging people at a large expo and making sure you stand out can be a challenge.
When the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations asked us how we could deliver a unique and fun experience for their stand, we couldn’t wait to see what we could do.
The Careers and Employment Expos were held in Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney over two days each, and in Perth over three days.
They wanted to draw people to their stand and provide a fun, interactive experience — something a little different to your average photo booth.
When you think about careers and employment, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
For us, it was using AI technology to transform people into whatever occupation they wanted — pilot, doctor, firefighter, and more.
Our goal was to create a photo booth experience that no one had seen before, and that no other stand within the expo could match.
Everyone who visited the stand could choose from up to 14 different occupations and have their AI transformation sent directly to their phone with a custom branded template.
With so much happening across the expo floor, visibility mattered. We built a custom branded touchscreen with LED lighting and wrapped the entire photo booth in the client’s branding — so no matter which direction people were approaching from, the experience was impossible to miss.
All guests received instant access to their digital photo via text message to share straight away. The client also received a full gallery of all captures within 24 hours via a private online gallery and details results report.
Across four events and nine days, we captured over 2,000 photos with more than 1,500 shared directly by guests. Everyone who stopped by the stand had a great time, and the client was thrilled with the outcome.
